Can you deliver us to Fraser Island Ferry Service? If you book with Kingfisher Tours they will pick you up in the bus. Lots of tour options available.
What is the closest bottle shop?
Urangan, behind BP fuel stop at Hervey Bay Airport, 10kms up the road.
Can I get food delivered?
Yes, menu log can do deliveries, Hogs Breath Cafe, Namastay India, and also VK’s Cafe at the River Heads shops do a great meal and the local IGA have hot chickens, pies, sausage rolls as well.
Can you supply food?
Yes we can supply a breakfast basket with continental breakfast for $15 each, which includes, bread (for toasting), croissants, butter, vegemite, jam, honey, fruit, cereal, tea, coffee, orange juice, yoghurt, milk. Must be pre-booked.
Do I have to book the ferry to get to Fraser Island?
Yes – there are only 5 crossings daily. The crossing takes 50 minutes and phone number is 1800 249 122
Can you pick us up from the Airport?
Yes – our team can arrange something for you – there are also hire cars available at the Airport, which is highly recommended so you can explore the many attractions around the Fraser Coast. The flight from Brisbane is only 50 minutes.
What’s the fishing like?
Great fishing spot with the solar powered jetty just 3 kms away. Ideal for launching your boat. Many different species caught all year, including Barramundi over 1m. Thread Fin Salmon, Queen Fish, Squid, Trevelly, Whiting. Check fishing species bans. Or if you haven’t got a boat you can hire one for $45 per hour, includes fuel, fishing gear, safety gear, esky, insurance. What a great way to explore the Susan & Mary Rivers. Pre-booking is recommended. Also personalised fishing guide in your own boat with over 10 years experience fishing these waters. Booking required.
Can I get a massage?
Yes there is a wonderful masseuse 5 minutes away or she will come to the cabin if you pre-book. Relaxation, remedial, lomi lomi, lava shell, aromotherapy, indian head massage. Must be pre-booked. Also COUPLES massage available.
Can you supply extra beds?
Yes we have 2 fold out sofa beds which are very comfortable, and a fold out cot, suitable for infants under 18 months. Extra fees apply, which can be worked out when you book.
Can my friends come and stay?
We can accommodate a few couples, because we are situated on 75 acres there is lots of space for parking motor homes, RV’s, tents, camper trailers, etc. Although Mango Lodge is situated down the back of the property well away from the rest of the Park to ensure maximum privacy.
What sort of wheelchair facilities do you have?
Wide doorways, sliding, low handles, low light switches, good access ramp, flat ground, parking right beside ramp, double roll_in shower with shower chair and grab rails, wheelchair access toilet with grab rails. 2 king size fully adjustable beds with tempur memory mattresses which can be configured to suit individual requirements.
How likely am I to see Kangaroos?
Very likely. There is a mob who live in the scrub behind Mango Lodge. They are often seen in the morning from your bedroom window beside the Mango Tree and on the front lawn. There are also lots of kangaroos around the rest of the property within the 40 acre nature reserve with the 4kms of walking tracks. Kangaroo mob on front lawn outside Mango Lodge.
